Here's a little bit about me.

EDUCATION

I loved my years at Moody Bible Institute. The work to achieve a bachelors was well worth it. Equally, studying Greek at Capitol Bible Seminary was also a joy. Later I developed a respect and admiration for the faculty at Liberty Theological Seminary. It was there that I completed my masters degree.

MINISTRY

As a one time, full-time, Minister of Music and Christian Education in a local church, part of my job each week was to work with singers and musicians. As an education major, I was also, at the same time, very active, administrating over the church's Christian education department.

MUSIC

A self taught musician, I started playing bass guitar as a young man in a small town church gospel choir. At around the age of 17 I put the instrument down and did not pick it up again until years later.

During my hiatus from the bass I spent many years developing my vocal skills. I have even done a bit of professional studio background work on Ted Turner's movie project "God's & Generals."

I've also dabbled in lyric writing and composing. I've had a publisher or two interested in my work. At the time they found my lyrics to be clever and compelling. I had been told that my musical style was not easily placed within the current genres of Christian music during that time. I did write more traditional Gospel/CCM, nevertheless, I believed that even Christian music fans enjoyed a taste of something fresh and different every once in a while.

My taste in music was very eclectic and coverdc everything from vintage Jazz to Contemporary Christian, and from Classical to Urban Funk & R & B. No I wasn't looking to become the next overnight sensation. At the time, basically, I wanted to get the songs out of my head and heart and digitized for the listening pleasure of others. I prayed that my gifts, talents, and songs would be a blessing to others.

Now

My focus turned to pastoring a local church in VA. It allowed me to express another side to my personality, which I am equally passionate about: Preaching and teaching.

I aproached my position as Sr. pastor looking forward to seeing what God would do through me. In hindsight, it has proven to be both a challenge and a blessing. Given the chance to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

By the way, if you feel that there is the distinct possibility my gifts and talents can be useful at one of your functions or in one of your projects, drop me a line.

God Bless!
